Iris McClish founded Insight Policy Works to turn equity in public contracting into real opportunity for small and diverse businesses. With 15 years of experience in equity research and supplier diversity, she helps public agencies design policies that drive measurable, lasting impact in local economies.

She has led high-profile disparity studies and supplier diversity projects for governments across the country, supporting clients such as Hamilton County (OH), the City of Virginia Beach (VA), the City of Lexington (KY), the City of Boston (MA), the City of Indianapolis (IN), the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission. Her work has guided policy decisions that have expanded access to public contracts for small and diverse firms.

Before launching Insight Policy Works, Iris was a Managing Partner at BBC Research & Consulting, widely recognized as the national leader in disparity research. She holds a Master’s in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science; a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver; and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
